Based in Çorum, Ahlatci Holding’s CEO, Ahmet Ahlatci, invited Volkswagen to Corum, declaring that they will provide them with land, free of charge, for a new automobile factory. Ahlatci Holding’s CEO, Ahmet Ahlatci, said, “If needed, I can purchase a land of 1.1 million square meters myself and offer it to the German VW Group.” Ahlatci stated that President Recep Tayyip Erdogan would propose this to the chancellor of Germany, Angela Merkel, and continued, “As long as they agree to establish a factory in Corum. Corum is a leading province in the area with an export volume of 900 million dollars. An investment of this scale would accelerate Corum’s leap in export even further.”
